Optimal Packing Collection

In 1997 John Bidwell discovered what is still today the best known way to fit 17 unit squares inside a larger containing square. With his eerily awkward arrangement of squares, one can pack 17 of them within the confines of a larger square with side length about 4.675. The design in this collection features this incredible optimal packing.
